CTD, Rock, and Bohol pastors introduce HALO to Panabo cluster

Seven CTTP churches in Panabo City, Davao del Norte, welcomed six Visayan-speaking pastors along with Rev. Voltaire P. Pablo III, CTTP National Director, to preach during their September 7, 2025 Sunday service.  They preached the introductory message on Holiness, Accountability, Love and Obedience (H.A.L.O.) Sermon Series to launch the series in the churches. This church visit exemplified partnership, unity, and a shared vision to raise genuine disciples of Christ.

Excitement builds for the upcoming preaching series designed to fully integrate HALO into CTTP-Panabo’s discipleship journey, cultivating communities where holiness, accountability, love, and obedience are lived out daily.

Over the next two months, the local pastors will continue preaching the series on HALO, equipping believers to apply these principles in everyday life. Special thanks are extended to the pastors and ministers of CTTP-CRF Panabo Cluster—Ptr. Gil Gipolan, Ptra. Deborah Salazar, Ptr. Edwin Tanguis, Ptr. Ariel Barbante, Ptr. Harvey Jay Laruan, Ptr. Allan Albero, and Ptr. Wilfredo Zamora—for their unwavering support and commitment to advancing the Christ Discipleship Roadmap (CDR). May God continue to use their faithful service to raise Christlike disciples, multiplying His kingdom in Panabo City and beyond!

National BOT okays 47th NatCon preparations

5

At its August 14, 2025 quarterly online meeting, the National Board of Trustees (NBOT) approved major arrangements for CTTP’s 47th National Convention (NatCon). This will be an exciting event given the major reconfiguration of the usual convention design, and the participation of emerging leaders from the local churches. With the theme, “Future Forward: Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders,” the NatCon shall launch a structured national initiative to identify and develop emerging leaders, ensuring a continuous flow of qualified leaders for future church growth. The NatCon also aims to strengthen partnership between the current and emerging leaders so that the latter’s talents and gifts can be fully harnessed as the churches journey through a genuine discipleship roadmap. With their participation, a wider base of people is expected to be evangelized and discipled. The ministry workload of current pastors and leaders can also be shared to cover an expanded reach.

Unlike previous NatCons, the coming event will be held for four days and three nights from May 21–25, 2026. Several prospective venues are still being explored to date to determine if their facilities would fit the requirements of the intended program and activities. There will be both plenary sessions and concurrent workshops for the current and emerging leaders to foster intergenerational learning and a culture of leadership development.

The National Director enjoins everyone to pray for the success of the NatCon, particularly that a new Deputy Director shall be elected. The registration fee and cost-sharing will be announced as soon as the venue has been identified. In the meantime, he encourages everyone to save up since cost will be higher than usual, considering that another day is added to the NatCon.

Panganiban and Vinzons’ DWRR open door for saturation evangelism

6

God continues to open new opportunities for the church to live out the Great Commission! At the recent Discipler’s Workshop Reset and Retreat (DWRR) in Panganiban, Rev. Randy Maniquez, head pastor of CTTP Davao, invited the National Discipleship Team not only to conduct the Ministry Reset and Retreat, but also to join them in a saturation evangelism initiative. Scheduled for November 8–12, this initiative aims to bring the Gospel to households and communities through every possible means. It is an opportunity for the church to labor side by side, reaching more lives for Christ and to trust Him for lasting impact in Davao.

SBD spearheads DWRR in Ligao

The journey of renewal in discipleship and culture reset continues to spread across CTTP. From August 21–23, 2025, the South Bicol District (SBD) led a DWRR at CTTP Ligao City, Albay.

7

A total of 26 participants joined from Ligao and nearby churches in Agol, Bololo, Daraga, Kinuartelan, Pio Duran, Parina, and Iriga together with its outreach churches — Pantao and Parina. The event emphasized that true discipleship begins not with methods or strategies but with an encounter with Christ that transforms both life and ministry.

8

Ptr. Dave Albor shared how the retreat became a turning point through the power of confession, “This was the moment I was able to truly release. James said, ‘Confess your sins to one another,’ and here we lived that out. It is not only confession to God, but also with our brothers. I thank the Lord it happened to us. This will carry us through our ministry here in Ligao.”

Meanwhile, Ptra. Jonelee reminded everyone of the value of trust as part of our new identity in the Body of Christ—built on love, openness, and shared accountability, “We are accountable not only for the stories shared, but also for the trust given to us.”

Ptr. Raymond also reflected on the true essence of discipleship, “Many participants expected new strategies for ministry, but what they discovered was more profound — to encounter God again through reset and retreat. Before deep methods come, there must first be a deep meeting with the Lord.”

9

The retreat’s success came through the collaboration of SBD pastors and the National Discipleship Team, who modeled discipleship beyond lectures by sharing their lives. It marked a milestone for SBD, renewing hope and commitment while setting the tone for future gatherings across CTTP churches nationwide — where every believer can say, “No longer I, but Christ lives in me.”

Testimonies

Rev. Randy Maniquez (Panganiban)

“We are beyond grateful to be part of what God is unfolding through CTTP. This meaningful milestone in CamNorte has ignited a renewed passion for intentional, Christ-centered discipleship in the Church… It brought fresh perspective, excitement, fire and affirmation to the Church’s discipleship… The road to true discipleship is not always easy, but it's worth it. The harvest is ripe, and we are ready. From CamNorte to the nations, may Christ be known, followed, and glorified!”

Airene Pagarian (Ligao)

“For years, we longed to raise disciples, to build a clear system, to start something sustainable for the church. The longing never left my heart until this Reset and Retreat happened. And wow, the Lord answered our prayer in the most personal way. I thought the journey would begin with strategies and systems. But the Lord gently reminded me: ‘Anak, it begins with Me.’ The reset starts within me — in intimacy with Him. From that intimacy flows everything else, including ministry.” — Airene Pagarigan

Through this Discipleship Retreat, I realized na madami pa palang dapat baguhin sa buhay ko. As a leader, I was able to open up and confess things I’ve been hiding for so long. Even with all my past experiences in serving the Lord, I realized that God knows who I really am. I was also blessed by the testimonies of others, realizing I am not alone in facing struggles like addiction and other personal challenges. Praise God for this retreat na naging tunay na reset ng aking discipleship journey. This marks the start of a discipleship journey grounded in Holiness, Accountability, Love, and genuine Obedience to God. Glory to God alone!
