CTTP’s 47th National Convention bridges generations of ministry leaders

Christ to the Philippines, Inc. (CTTP) successfully held its 47th National Convention on May 21–24, 2026, at Woodland Villa, Nagcarlan, Laguna, gathering 284 delegates from across the country under the theme, “Future Forward: Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders.”

Marking a significant milestone in CTTP's history, this year's convention was the first to intentionally bring together both seasoned leaders and emerging leaders. Seasoned leaders were defined as leaders aged 50 and above, as well as senior pastors regardless of age, while emerging leaders were those below 50 years old. The convention welcomed 127 seasoned leaders and 157 emerging leaders, fostering meaningful intergenerational engagement and collaboration.

The four-day gathering aimed to strengthen biblical leadership, cultivate a legacy-focused mindset, encourage intentional discipleship and mentorship, and mobilize leaders to actively develop the next generation of servant leaders within their ministries.

The convention opened with a powerful challenge from CTTP Discipleship Head Rev. Miguel Pabilonia, Jr. during the Kick-off Service through the message, “When Leaders Fail to Multiply.” Setting the tone for the gathering, the message underscored the urgency of intentionally developing and empowering the next generation of leaders.

Throughout the convention, delegates were equipped through plenary and concurrent sessions focused on leadership development, discipleship, and legacy-building. A plenary session on “Creating a Culture of Leadership Development” was delivered by Bp. Noel Pantoja of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC), emphasizing the importance of cultivating environments where future leaders can thrive. 

Seasoned leaders participated in sessions such as “Legacy in Motion: Raising the Next” by Rev. Sherwin Sandoval and “Builders of Legacy: Leading Beyond Your Lifetime” by Rev. David Camiwet, culminating in a workshop that guided them in articulating their personal and ministry legacy statements. Meanwhile, emerging leaders were challenged through “The Drift of Disciples: Staying Committed in Challenging Seasons” by Ptr. Russel Arjay Cruzin and “Next in Line, Now in Step: A Call to Courageous Leadership” by Rev. Raymond Mayor, followed by a workshop encouraging them to respond intentionally to God's call and leadership opportunities before them.

One of the most meaningful moments of the convention was the special Bonfire Night, “Enduring Legacy,” led by outgoing National Director Rev. Voltaire Pablo Pablo III. Following the message, delegates gathered by local church groups for a time of affirmation, prayer, and blessing. Seasoned leaders were honored for their years of faithful service and ministry impact, while emerging leaders were prayed for and commissioned to continue the work of discipleship and leadership in their respective ministries.

The convention also provided opportunities for organizational governance and ministry celebration. During the business meeting, delegates elected the CTTP National Board of Trustees (NBOT) for the 2026–2028 term:

Following the business meeting was the Banquet Night to celebrate God's goodness through the years of ministry. A highlight of the evening was the ordination ceremony led by Rev. David Camiwet, during which six ministers were ordained as Reverends:

• Rev. Raymond N. Mayor, CTTP Daraga

• Rev. Edwin R. Mendez, CTTP Santicon

• Rev. Isaias C. Cabañez, CTTP Kinuartelan

• Rev. Juliet L. Colosaga, CTTP Maxingal

The evening also celebrated God's faithfulness through the recognition of CTTP partners and supporters, as well as licensed pastors and ministers who have faithfully served in the ministry from five to 60 years.

The 47th National Convention concluded with a worship service featuring a message from Rev. Sonny Largado, followed by a donning ceremony led by Bp. Bert Colosaga and the investiture of the newly elected officers, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership for the organization.

In addition to the plenary and concurrent sessions, delegates participated in structured learning experiences and enjoyed moments of fellowship through raffle prizes and special activities. Video presentations highlighting the Reset and Retreat initiatives cascaded in local churches also showcased CTTP's ongoing commitment to leadership development and discipleship at the local level.

Through intentional discipleship, faithful leadership, and a shared vision for the next generation, CTTP moves forward with confidence, courage, humility, and faithfulness—empowering tomorrow's leaders for the glory of God.

EGR-Candelaria #2 opens opportunity for public Sunday service and water baptism

CTTP Candelaria, Quezon hosted its second Experiencing God Retreat (EGR) - Candelaria on April 17–19, 2026, drawing 72 participants — 40 candidates and 32 team members from Candelaria, Cavite, Nagcarlan, and Bulihan.

Guided by the theme H.A.L.O. (Holiness, Accountability, Love, and Obedience), participants deepened their understanding of God’s Word through teachings and formed meaningful connections as they journeyed together in faith.

A highlight of the retreat was the public Sunday worship service at WillieMac Beach Resort, where participants freely sang and danced praises before the Lord. The celebration continued with the water baptism at the beach, marking a powerful testimony of lives committed and re-committed to following Christ.

The retreat concluded with joyful fellowship — swimming, body worship, and a shared lunch of home‑cooked local specialties prepared by the Candelaria church.

Bravehearted Men's Retreat calls men to deeper surrender and purpose

The Bravehearted Men's Retreat, held in partnership with Tom Wright, Living Waters Coordinator USA, and Living Waters Philippines, took place at Maya's Nest in Nagcarlan, Laguna, from May 29–31, 2026. The participants came from various locations, including Ifugao, Cavite, Manila, and Nagcarlan, representing different ages and seasons of life. The retreat gathered men from diverse backgrounds for a meaningful time of reflection and intentional retreat with Jesus.

Throughout the three-day retreat, participants explored topics centered on God's design for men and the challenges they face today. Sessions included discussions on God's creation of man, fatherlessness and its impact, Bar Barakah: Blessing the Fathers and Sons, Jesus Is No Mr. Nice Guy, grieving losses, and loving women well. These topics provided opportunities for the men to process personal experiences, confront areas of brokenness, and pray for one another in an open and safe environment.

A special highlight of the retreat was the Sunday Worship Service held at Tayak Hill. Surrounded by God's creation, the men publicly declared their commitment to turn away from their old selves and embrace the new life found in Christ. It was a powerful moment of surrender and faith.

The retreat served as a reminder that men are not called to walk alone. Through fellowship, worship, prayer, and honest conversations, participants were strengthened in their pursuit of Jesus and encouraged to live out their God-given purpose as husbands, fathers, sons, leaders and disciples.

We thank God for His work in the lives of the men who attended and look forward to seeing the lasting fruit of what He began during this retreat.

EGR-SVC #36 equips new Christians for growth and service

God uses many ways to bring His children to come to know Him, actively using many moments and people for His glory. One of his ways was the 36th "Experiencing God: A Retreat,” also known as EGR-SVC #36, held at Christ to the Philippines - Signal Village Church (CTTP-SVC) from May 1-2, 2026. 

The Experiencing God Retreat caters towards serving and teaching new Christians, giving them lessons that will help them in developing their relationship with God, and that will help them in serving God through ministries inside and outside the Church. 

These new Christians are called candidates and are split into groups, depending on their age and gender. A total of 53 team members, which also included volunteers from CTTP-Katuparan and CTTP-Nasugbu, served the candidates in all kinds of ways: some through cooking and serving meals, some served as table leaders, while some were part of the Worship team. Many of these team members served in EG-SVC for the first time. Most lectures were taught by first-time team members; while one long-time church member, whose faith has recently rekindled through the Philippine Glow of Love retreat, served as one of the table leaders.  

EGR-SVC #36 produced a total of 26 graduates, mostly consisting of teenagers. The 36th Retreat has had the most graduates since before the pandemic. EG-SVC #36 would not be possible without the Lord working on every single one of the candidates, and the Lord’s provision, from the material needs to sustaining the team members.
